- 2003: We implement our social care strategy, supporting carers and helping people financially.
- 2009: Our integrated phone service launches, so people affected by cancer can call just one number 0808 808 0000 for all support.
When my Mum was diagnosed with Cancer in April 2009. I turned to the Macmillan website and found lots of useful information and LOTS of support! When Pat posted the idea of making a calendar I wrote a short story and he said he would include it. Luckily Mum agreed to be photographed and she graced the July page in the 2010 calendar. Sadly Mum lost her battle in December 2009 but she did see the final calendar and was VERY proud!
We had lots of bad days when Mum was ill BUT we also had some great days and made memories which are unforgettable. xx
