- 2003: We implement our social care strategy, supporting carers and helping people financially.
- 2009: Our integrated phone service launches, so people affected by cancer can call just one number 0808 808 0000 for all support.
My name is Pat and I'm a carer for my wife Michelle who was diagnosed with cancer in May 2009.
From the initial shock and right up to today we have always found support in our chosen charity Macmillan. We met some life long friends from a Macmillan based website and joined forces to produce a 2010 charity calendar, which was a great success.
We're still on our roller coaster journey and take one day at a time, we enjoy life and won't let anything get in our way because at the end of the day "It's Just A Six Letter Word"
We're now on to a new stage of fundraising and awareness to change people's views of cancer, and we're both very excited about the future of our wonderful group.
